We offer personalized and professional Spanish language instruction in Santa Cruz County. We teach in a friendly environment, encouraging practice and understanding of the language and culture of Spanish speaking countries.
Using visual aids, we make the class entertaining, dynamic, and interactive with lots of grammatical instruction so you can learn vocabulary without having to translate word by word. Most of the classes are about six weeks long; at the end of the class you will be able to speak en español. We have many years of teaching experience and have taught a wide range of students - from absolute beginners to highly advanced speakers, kids and adults.
Spanish is our first language and we understand the process of learning a foreign language, so you will get very effective instruction of Spanish and will gain cultural understanding when you take a class with us. We will truly immerse you in the Spanish language and Hispanic culture, moving you towards fluency by teaching you to think and speak in Spanish right from the first day. Grammar, reading, and writing are important parts of our classes, but conversation is always primary.
Private lessons:
Private lessons are ideal for those who have completed elementary Spanish and want to continue with a more advanced level or those who want to have the teacher's individual attention. We will create a plan to suit your needs. We can schedule a time that actually works for you and your busy schedule.
Individual lessons are the most effective method to improve Spanish knowledge and greatly increase AP or IB test scores. Students learn complete manipulation of verb tenses and get plenty of opportunity to practice with Spanish conversation and pronunciation.

We send the teacher to your place so you don't have to waste your time driving to classes. Many of our students schedule their classes in their lunch time. Whether you need help with homework, you are struggling with a Spanish course, or you are planning a vacation to a Spanish speaking country, the best way to learn is the personal help of a private Spanish tutor. There is nothing like having a personal instructor to guide you through a language quickly. We can customize the lessons plan to prepare you for an up-coming trip, to improve your pronunciation, or to help you with an upcoming test or exam.
Hourly fee: $ 55 per hour/person
Monthly fees: $500 per person for a set of ten 1-hour classes taken within a month.

Elementary level: These are basic level courses designed for people who either have no knowledge of the language, or who need a refresher of the basics of Spanish. All classes include information about Spanish speaking countries.

Upon completion of these courses, you may have learned sufficient material to understand and hold a conversation. Please make sure you understand these are 6 weeks long courses and you will need to practice or repeat the levels to gain a solid foundation for more advanced Spanish courses.
Intermediate 1
Practice and sharpen your Spanish conversation skills while you continue to improve your vocabulary, pronunciation grammar, verb usage, and comprehension skills. These are more elaborate class discussions of relevant, real life situations, vocabulary for traveling, current affairs, literature and articles related to different Latin American countries and Spain. Prerequisite: Elementary level 2, or clear understanding of pronunciation rules, enough vocabulary to hold a conversation.
Advanced Conversational Spanish
This level is designed for people able to have a fluent conversation in Spanish, and ability to read texts. Expand your vocabulary as you discuss contemporary issues related to the Spanish-speaking world and participate in lively discussions todo en español! Class content will be selected by class participants. This course is ideal for those traveling to Latin American countries as well as those who wish to maintain their level of fluency.
